Gravity Hill – About two miles south of Shullsburg on Judgement Street the road travels down a steep hill and up a steeper hill. If you stop your car about 3/4 of the way down the first hill (street marked with a “GH” on the pavement) and put your car in neutral you will begin traveling uphill backwards.
Badger Mine and Museum – Located in the center of SW Wisconsin’s lead mining region in Shullsburg you can experience first hand the daily routine of an 1850’s lead miner. The Badger Mine is the only primitive, hand dug, 19th century lead mine open for public viewing in the U.S..
Shullsburg Cheese – Just across the street you can watch cheese being made and take home some world famous cheese.
Music in the Park – Free live music preformed 5 Thursday nights during the summer at Badger Park in Shullsburg.
Badger Park – Shullsburg neighborhood park with 3 separate playgrounds, picnic pavilions and plenty of space to spread out and enjoy
Roelli Cheese – Roelli Family Cheese Haus is located east of Shullsburg, Wisconsin on State Highway 11. It has a 4 generation family tradition of making handcrafted specialty cheese for nearly 100 years. Pick up some award winning original recipe cheeses such as Dunbarton Blue, Red Rock and Little Mountain.

Dubuque, IA , to the west and right across the Mississippi River is home to the Mississippi River Museum, 4th Street elevator, casinos, hiking and more.
Galena, IL, just to the south, has many unique shops and dining. Fun place to take a day trip, shop and eat to your hearts content.
The Grotto – The word Grotto means an artificial cavern or cave. It is a creation in stone, mortar and bright colored objects-collected materials from all over the world. These include colored glass, gems, antique heirlooms of pottery or porcelain, stalagmites and stalactites, sea shells, starfish, petrified sea urchins and fossils, and a variety of corals, amber glass, agate, quartz, ores, such as iron, copper and lead, fool’s gold, rock crystals, onyx, amethyst and coal, petrified wood and moss.

House on the Rock – An experience that will leave you in awe. Alex Jordan broke ground in 1945 began the construction of The House on the Rock. Beginning as a retreat with a spectacular view perched on Deer Shelter Rock it grew into collections that are a must see. There are 3 sections in the self-guided tour where you will experience world’s largest carousel, music machines, a 200 foot sea creature and much more. A must see!

Potosi Brewery – Potosi, WI…… A cool very cool place to experience and some good eats too.
New Glarus Brewery – New Glarus, WI….. Makers of Spotted Cow – ONLY sold in Wisconsin
Minhas Brewery and Distillary – Monroe, WI…. Take both tours but have a designated driver.

Barrel Head Winery – Dubuque, IA…. The only thing that could make this award winning winery better was if they were in southwest Wisconsin. Specifically Shullsburg.
Galena Cellars – Galena, IL….. Be sure and stop in while shopping Galena for a much smoother shopping experience.
